Minds are like a hard disk that has limited space, the human brain eliminates that which it considers useless or unnecessary and in similar fashion a hard disk needs to be cleaned of the useless data to input ne data.

I feel like the human brain works much in the same way as a hard disk when it accesses memories. If something or part of the system is not working right than the data retrival is hindered, much like a human being with alzheimers who suffers dementia where the valuable data is still ther patially, however, inaccessible to the user.
